My "Cosby Kids" Gobbos just faced Jim Brown's "Salamanders" Lizard Men. What a wacky game! I'm going to have to ask the commissioner to launch an official investigation and allege that Coach Brown has been feeding his Sauruses performance-enhancing drugs as this game saw both an interception and two ball pick-ups each by a Saurus. A similar inquiry will be needed for the Kroxigor that went the entire game without failing a single Bonehead roll.
It was back & forth in the first half with, surprisingly, the Gobbos controlling the ball most of the time after an errant throw by a Skink. On the lizards' last turn of the first half a knocked down Saurus got up and successfully picked up the ball but tripped on the goal-line after a failed GFI roll.
It was 0-0 after one half and I went balls out and put all my secret weapons out at once but completely brain-farted and forgot that the Looney only gets the bad part of stunty and tried dodging through enemy tackle zones like an idiot which knocked him out before he got to snikker-snakt anyone. Then my fanatic got blocked and KOd and the Salamanders scored shortly thereafter. With three turns to go I was 3 men down with no Secret Weapons. A twist of fate put the ball out of bounds on the ensuing kick off so I put the ball in the hands of Muddfoot Brown... one of my trolls. He blitzed off the line and injured a Saurus but the glory of a troll touch-down was not to be as he was blitzed by the remaining Saurses and dropped the ball which eventually led to a Salamander touchdown on the last turn after having the ball handed off by a Saurus.
A completely ridiculous and insanely fun game!
