Great show. I really enjoyed being able to participate this time.

Joe, if I came off as negative, I apologize. If anything I was trying to spice it up and express my disagreement with some of the picks and then with some of the outcomes. Plus, I told myself I was going to razz Luke for the whole episode, just because. I think I'll pick on Adam next time.

Also, I apologize for calling you a girl during the show. That was totally Matt.

I have to say, there was a lot more negativity this time around. Maybe its just the growing stress of our collective lives. Maybe it's because we were going for a more positive competition. We got lots of * = fail and the likes. I think we all failed at one point or another.

I have nothing to say about this. Just an observation.

At some point or another, I disagreed with everyone.  As I type slow, I did not feel I have enough time to properly explain why I disagreed, so I tended to short hand to the "* = Fail" tag.  I do apologize if this came across as too negative.

@Matt: Feivel?  Really?

@David: During the trivia questions, I noticed there was a lag between to 'cast and the livechat.  Answers were posted before I even heard the entire question.  This is not a significant issue, but more an FYI.

Yeah, the "Fail" tag is fine.  It's a popular internet term now and its connotations are pretty widely known.

I didn't think the chat was negative at all, really.

uStream sucks.  That's my only defense on this one.  I've got a pretty rockin internet connection, but when the BGs did their live show, I noticed the same thing.  I can look into trying out one of the other services for next time, see if it's better.

I think, too, some people were trying to preemptively answer the questions.  I know I tried.  Didn't work the first time, did the second.

Perhaps some it it also comes from the audience having stronger feelings about this topic vs. the last one. Not everyone could tell you their least favorite literary character off the top of their head. Everybody can tell you their favorite sequel without much pause.

At dinner during our game last night, there was a vigorous discussion.  People love talking about what they love.

For those of you that don't actually listen to the beginning of the audio file, we have posted the audio-only version of the live episode. Because of familial obligations (it was Easter after all), the video release is delayed. It is forthcoming.

This was a good time to participate in, and just listened to it again today.  A good example of the feel difference between the regular episodes and the interactive ones is like the difference between a rock concert and the VH-1 Storytellers specials that they used to do.  Both are good, but it's a different/cool experience being part of it, like in this episode.

On the subject of negativity, I agree with others thoughts of it being a more spirited discussion topic.  I know I busted on Matt particularily because of his picks, but I thought it was taken as all in good fun.  So if I affended anyone, sorry-just kidding.

I am surprised no one outside chatroom said Indy and Last Crusade, but there's only so many spots.  I'm shocked Dark Knight didn't win also.

and btw Luke, I had to figure out the water puzzle today at work after hearing the episode  Smiley

I was also very sick at the time, so I might have been overly sensitive.

As for the movies, Jim Brown has declared the competition invalid since Empire, Last Crusade, Wrath of Khan, and BttF2 were not represented.

I think BttF2 would have faired well unless it was unfortunate enough to run up against the winners early on (though it might have shifted things in its favor). It was very apparent that Khan was not a popular pick of 3 of the 4 hosts and I don't think it would have advanced even if it had been included. Then there was Empire and Crusade.

I think they were victims of the way we have to approach our lists. We want to provide options you may not have thought of, something else we think deserves to be represented. We count on the other hosts to pick some of the more popular ones. One or two popular ones and one or two outside the box and bam, you got yourself a good mix. But with Matt throwing four curveballs outside the strike zone, not everything made it in. By the sound of it, neither Adam nor I think Empire is the greatest sequel ever and I doubt it would have made it past the second round. Crusade on the other hand, well we never even discussed it but I think it would have done well. Certainly better than Feivel goes west. Tongue

Well, I missed the live episode, so I have no one to blame but myself.

BUT HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH did Godfather Part II not make the list??

The Final Fore---I agree with all of 'em.

Really a great episode---that may have lasted about 15 minutes too long.
Keep it up guys.

Oh . . .  and Halloween II---c'mon a sequal that beat the original.

I couldn't finish Godfather Part 2. Granted, I didn't see the Godfather series until much later and by that point it had been pirated and lampooned in so many other movies it felt like I had seen them all anyway.

Luke, I hear you on the liking of Mika and musicals.  My guilty pleasures as well.

Did you hear that McG got the rights to direct the movie version of Spring Awakening?
