Downunder Gamers GOTY09 Awards
« on: November 23, 2009, 04:35:43 PM »
Hey guys it’s that time of year again to cast your votes for the Downunder Gamers Game of the Year awards!

Same rules as last year, choose your top 3 games of 2009 (any platform) and rank them in points from 3 to 1. Here’s one I prepared earlier!

3 – L4D2
2 – Borderlands
1 – MW2

So as you can see, in the example I felt Left 4 Dead 2 was the best game of the year. Alright, this year it’s a little different though.

When we record our Xmas Spesh 09, we will also draw a votee from a hat and that person will win a fantastic shirt from our soon to come store! Seriously great prizes here, and yes I will rub my balls on it too if you really want me to!

So let the voting begin, as we dont have a solid schedule yet, the episode will be recorded late December just before Christmas and that’s when we’ll award the DUG GOTY09 winner! YAAAAAY!

I would have liked to nominate Tetris for GOTY.

I'm sure Tetris was awarded GOTY in like 1973...

3. Dragon Age: Origins
2. Ceville
1. Osmos

Edit: I'm hooked on Osmos.  Simple premise that is surprisingly challenging, wonderful soundtrack and is the first puzzle game that I have ever enjoyed.

3. Borderlands.
2. Batman Arkum asylum.
1. Dragon age origins.

Tough choice, lots of good games (also I need to add that I have yet to try both LFD2 and MW2, which could screw one of more of my picks later).

3. Dawn of Discovery
2. Borderlands
1. LFD2

Those last two games, I haven't even really played extensively.  I haven't been very impressed with the game selection this year.

DoD is fantastic if you like slow moving, strategy games.

You complain about MW2 ruining your NHL club and then you rank it above NHL 10?  Ryan Miller is probably off cutting his wrists somewhere.

he's actually voted it below NHL10. The way the system works is that you give your #1 pick 3 points, #2 pick 2 Points and #3 pick 1 Point.

thought I'd give this a bump as we're getting close to the end of the comp, any more people want in?
