I probably would have given some more in depth answers to a few questions if I'd realised that I'd be the only one contributing

Also makes me wish that I'd made some arrangements to get on the show, although I'm guessing that I would have hijacked it to talk about Australian issues, to the delight of less than 1% of your listeners.
My $30 a month sounds okay but then I really thought about the specifics of that figure. Our exchange rates are fairly good, that $30 currently equaling $27US but the real kicker is, as mentioned, the price difference for games here. To use Starcraft II as the current example: $98AU EB Games $60US Gamestop. That's a hefty difference so clearly my money buys a lot less than it would in your hands. Basically I'd probably buy one game a year at full price (3 months worth) and everything else is bargain bin.
Also if someone can explain why Australia pays an extra $20 for the digital version of Borderlands, I'm still waiting for a logical answer.

My PS2 was bought 4 years after they came out. It came with a single Sony controller and a $10 'other brand' controller. I got a single memory card and both Pro Evolution Soccer 2 and some other crap game that escapes my recollection. I may have also payed $50 for an extended warranty which I look back on and laugh about, as I'm sure everyone does at some stage in their life. I still can't believe what I actually forked out for that console.
A big reason for all the hours and enjoyment for 2142 were down to my two friends who played it with me on an almost nightly basis, as well as my involvement in The Older Gamers clan, which provided arguably the best server around. I can't stand random multiplayer gaming but TOG did a great job of building a community and ensuring that the servers were really well looked after and kept dickhead free. Game wise it wasn't technically the best shooter I've played but all the other factors pushed it to a level above.
I'm sure there were other things I wanted to mention but I'll need to go back through the episode.
