For those of us who can't make it to both Vegas and PAX East, it seems best to plan on doing both, so as to not exclude half a continent.  :-)

PAX East's dates are March 26th through the 28th in Boston, Mass.

Locations suggested for staying at: ?

People definitely in:
  • David and Eve
  • Joe
  • okeefe

People who have expressed interest:

[As people show interest, and details get nailed down, I'll update this post with the latest.]

As much as I'd like to, there's simply no way I can make it to PAX East.  That said, I'll happily help with the organization and whatnot, since I recommended splitting PodcastoCon into East and West.

Nine people voted for PAX East, and one of them wasn't David, so I'm missing at least four people who are interested.  Post below, and I'll add you to the list.

same here, provided that I actually remember to buy tickets this year when they go on sale, as opposed to going "oh, I'll get them when it gets closer to its date, this money is going to buy something awesome for right now"

Eve and I are definitely in for PAX East, unless she is in court (which her first year, is unlikely).

Barring any unforeseen financial difficulties, I'll be there next year.

I'm a definite since it's my backyard.  (okeefe even more so!).  I say the two of us plan this one since we can scout it all out.

Still a maybe. Want to find out how easily accessible is Pax East to public transportation or hotels? Also considering hiring a sitter for at least one evening so we can go out with grown ups.

If you take the train from DC: Take Amtrak (Ascela if you can afford it) to Boston South Station. Take the Red Line (subway) to Park Street. Switch to the Green Line and take a B, C, or D train to Hynes Convention Center. Walk upstairs and get your geek on.

If you fly into Logan: Take the MBTA Subway/Blue Line shuttle (a free bus that takes you to the subway stop nearby). Take the Blue Line to Government Center. Switch to the Green Line and take a B, C, or D train to Hynes Convention Center. Walk upstairs and get your geek on.

Nice, Joe. Most likely, we'll take the train. Not driving is win.

You are adapting well to life in the North East.

I almost certainly will be there. The only thing that could hold me back is hotel room cost.
