So what the *quack* happened to the *quacking* quack? A smile always comes to my face when I hear that little guy belting out that note. :(

For 73, at least, I took over the editing and was running behind. No time to insert the quack. As for why Sam doesn't use it, I believe it's difficult for him to insert. Much as we all love the quack. Keeping the audio editor is vital to the life of a podcast. ;-)

I have been collecting segments of dialog from episodes as I edit.  When I started editing, I used the "Quack" because of mentioning it and because it was funny.  As my skill with Audacity has increased I have found a more sophisticated way to edit by generating a tone over the obscenity.  The quack is less precise and requires multiple copy-paste actions to cover a longer syllable obscenity.

The tone is a few seconds of pause work and then I'm back to editing.  It takes almost a minute to place a quack per occurrence.  That adds up fast.

Tony gave me some advice and it didn't fix the problem.

Hence, the death of the quack.
