Washington State
« on: November 14, 2011, 08:36:29 AM »
I think there are a few folks on here from that general area. Due to recent circumstances, and my graduation from college in a few months, I am looking to relocate. I have been doing some internet research for my new job, Surgical Technologist, and have seen some really good job openings in the Seattle and surrounding areas. With the salaries that I could find, and the cost of housing, I have been giving this some serious thought. There are quite a few things from that area that interest me, and would love to know more about it. If possible, I will be making a short visit to the area over my winter break to check it out. If there is anything I need to know, and if anyone here has any information on the area, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I'm no help.

To be fair, though, if you moved to St. Louis, I'd be no help here either.  I know next to nothing about this city.

I understand. The city closest to me is steeped in civil war history. When people from out of town hit me up about where this is, or where that is, I have no idea. And I have been here my whole life. Its time for a change though, and the Sea-Tac area looks real nice. Gonna be making a trip out there in late December to scope it out before I make any real plans.

Trip is set, and thanks to a few friends, and big thanks to Causing Havik, I have a general idea of what I want to do while out there. Gonna do my best to avoid the tourist spots and hit some places off the beaten path. That, and make a quick trip over to Roslyn to see some of the locations used in Northern Exposure. Cant be that close and no go see the main street of Cicely.

Was out there for about 4 days and loved it. But if I move or not is highly contingent on jobs, and if I can afford to live there or not. All in all, it was a great trip and look forward to a return in the near future.
